VALON V. KASHTANJEVA
Valon Kashtanjeva is the managing partner at AMA IP-LEX. He is currently a PhD candidate in Civil Law, focusing his dissertation on the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights. He also holds an LL.M. in European Economic Law and Intellectual Property Law from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, as well as an LL.M. in International Intellectual Property Law and Unfair Competition from the WIPO Academy and Università Degli Studi di Torino.
Valon has over 15 years of experience in policymaking and implementation, legal drafting, decision-making, advisory, strategic planning, business consulting and legal research. He was a member of Kosovo's Delegation on the negotiations with the EU on the Stabilization and Association Agreement on Intelectual Property Chapter.
For nearly a decade, he led the Kosovo Copyright Office and played a key role in policymaking and drafting primary and secondary legislation related to intellectual property rights (IPR). He also led the Task Force Against Piracy and Counterfeiting and was instrumental in spearheading government initiatives aimed at establishing and bolstering the IPR system in the country.
He is a trainer for Intellectual Property Rights at the Academy of Justice and a trainer for policymaking and better regulation- Regulatory Impact Assessment.
Valon has been a keynote speaker at various international and national conferences.
Marc J. Randazza is a strategic partner to AMA IP-LEX. Randazza is the managing partner at RANDAZZA LEGAL GROUP, he spends the majority of his time in the Las Vegas office, and is available for consultation in any of the firm’s offices, and at selected times in his correspondent firms’ offices in Turin, Italy and Paris, France. In the United States of America, he is known First Amendment and intellectual property attorney and handles litigation and transactional matters nationwide.
His practice includes representation of defendants in SLAPP actions, protesters, and other free speech cases as well as intellectual property litigation and transactions. His practice includes representation of Internet businesses with Section 230 protection, adult entertainment businesses, and other businesses and individuals in intellectual property and free speech matters. Randazza was honoured by Vegas, Inc. as one of Southern Nevada’s best attorneys for lawsuits and disputes.
Randazza is an officer of the First Amendment Lawyers’ Association. He is licensed to practice law in Nevada, California, Massachusetts, Arizona, Florida, all federal courts in those states, multiple federal appellate courts, and before the United States Supreme Court.
MARC J. RANDAZZA
Emin Plakaj is an economic expert at AMA IP-LEX. He is a renowned economist and a judicial expert who graduated from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Economics, with a specialization in Management and Informatics. Emin has served as a court financial and commercial expert in over 800 cases, in both the Basic Courts and the Court of Appeals of Kosovo. His extensive professional experience in finance and accounting has been acquired through various roles in diverse domestic and international sectors.
He has a strong professional background in finance and accounting, having worked as an Accountant and Financial Manager at the “Tefik Çanga Design” - Ferizaj, a social enterprise privatized by the Kosovo Privatization Agency. Emin further expanded his expertise by serving as an Internal Auditor at several public companies.
After this period, he worked as an Accountant and Financial Manager at the Independent Trade Union of Kosovo (BSPK), where he managed the 20% fund of the privatized enterprises, which was distributed to the former employees.
Emin’s experience in finance, accounting, and auditing makes him an excellent candidate for providing legal and expert services. He has a deep understanding of businesses' financial and legal aspects, and his expertise can help clients navigate complex financial and legal issues.
EMIN PLAKAJ
Atdhe Lila holds an advanced LL.M degree in Law and Digital Technologies from the University of Leiden.
Atdhe is a legal consultant and researcher with a strong focus on law, digital technologies and justice innovation. His field of expertise varies from Commercial Law, Intellectual Property, Privacy & Data Protection, Cyber Law, Research and Capacity Building.
As the Managing Partner of DigiLegals, he has been instrumental in pioneering legal-tech solutions for local and international clients both from the private and public sector in various industries. His tenure as Executive Director at the Institute for Technology and Society further underscores his commitment to integrating technology with legal frameworks, focusing on topics such as Privacy, Cyber-security, Disinformation and AI.
In the past, Atdhe has worked as a Senior Legal Officer for the Government of Kosovo, where he assisted in drafting national laws/regulations and helped in EU legal approximation. He has worked as a Data Protection Officer, Trainer at the Academy of Justice and for the Council of Europe and has been a member of multiple associations and organizations, primarily in the legal and technology field.
